Doreen Hardy

Doreen was recruited into the promotional marketing industry from a successful career in radio broadcast sales.  While in radio sales, she served as president of the Houston chapter of American Women in Radio and Television and won the “Media 10” award as top sales person in Houston.

Her career in promotional marketing sales began at Advantage Corp.  Doreen subsequently worked for Halo Industries, USA Marketing, and as of April 2005 joined Geiger West in Emeryville.

During her years in promotional marketing Doreen has found time to volunteer in a tutoring and mentoring program for disadvantaged children.  She is very excited that the 6-year-old girl she first began working with is in her second year of college at Xavier in New Orleans.

Over the last few years, she and her husband, Peter, have been building their “dream home” in Point Richmond.  Now that the home is finally nearing completion, she and Peter hope to find time for some of their other interests – sailing, hiking, traveling, entertaining and San Francisco Giants baseball.

Doreen says that promotional marketing has been challenging and fun.  “Where else can you sell tangible products in any price range, never run out of inventory or need to warehouse it and be involved in creating the product?  This is definitely not radio!
