Director
Gavin Long

After graduating with a Marketing degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Gavin pursed a career with Computer Sciences Corporation as a Programming Consultant.  However, the down-turn in the tech sector put a quick end to this opportunity.  Still feeling the technology bug, he joined a Canadian software licensing company called Softchoice which was based out of San Francisco.  As an Account Executive, he successfully sold enterprise level licensing agreements for companies like Symantec, Microsoft, Adobe, and Veritas.

When the opportunity arose to purchase an existing promotional products distributorship in his hometown of Napa, he quickly jumped at the chance.  Both he and his wife (Kara) now own and operate Tugboat which has enjoyed extensive growth over the last 5 years.  Tugboat has grown to include 10 employees, in-house embroidery, fulfillment, and an award winning showroom.  Tugboat is also a Certified Minority Owned Business.

In his spare time, Gavin loves to run his two dogs (Betty and Deuce) through the vineyards, play golf, and travel as much as possible.

Get to know Gavin a little better...
