San Jose Municipal Rose Garden
Rolling
green lawns and colorful showy blooms highlight the San José
Municipal Rose Garden. In fact, hardly a day passes when
some species is not in full bloom, with more than 3,500
plantings and 189 varieties featured. Visitors can enjoy
colorful, showy blooms throughout the April to November
season. A favorite time to visit though is early May when
the acres of fragrant, majestic roses are at their most
beautiful stage.

NASA Ames Exploration Center The NASA Ames Exploration Center,
where visitors can experience NASA technology and missions
first hand, recently added a number of fresh and exciting
exhibits open to the public at no charge. Located at the
main gate to NASA Ames at Moffett Field just off US 101, the
NASA Exploration Center has welcomed more than 150,000
visitors in its first year and has inspired tens of
thousands of schoolchildren to become the next generation of
space explorers. The facility is open to the public FREE of
charge.

Japantown - San Jose
This neighborhood is home to hundreds of
businesses, museums, and annual events celebrating the rich
traditions of Japanese history. Located in the downtown
area, Japantown is bordered by both the Jackson and Taylor
neighborhoods. Japantown is also home to a bi-weekly
farmer's market, featuring freshly grown local produce and
crafts.

Leavey Center
The Santa Clara University men's and women's basketball, and
women's volleyball teams play their contests in one of the
finest sports venues of its size on the West Coast, the
Leavey Center. The facility has hosted nine West Coast
Conference Basketball Championships, most recently in March
2005.
