President
Jeff Thomas

I was born in San Francisco in December 1964, and my family moved to Rohnert Park in 1971.  I consider myself a Sonoma County native, and absolutely love this beautiful area I call home.  I graduated from Rancho Cotate High School, then received my AA degree from Santa Rosa Junior College.  In 1989 I graduated from Chico State University (like many other PMANC board members) with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis on Advertising and Marketing.

In 1987 I joined a local promotional products company, where I worked for 14 years.

In August 2001, I joined The Vernon Company, and I really love working for this great company.  I work from my home office in Rohnert Park.

After being on the PMANC Board of Directors for two years, I realize what a great team of people has been assembled for you, our members.  Our annual trade show is outstanding, and our professional development and social events are not to be missed!  It is my honor to serve on the Board, and I welcome any and all comments on what we can do to serve you better.

The promotional products industry has been very good to me for the past 20+ years.  The industry has allowed me the opportunity to travel to many places that I might not ordinarily see, and I have met a lot of great people and been blessed with many good friends.  I love to see the positive results of promotional products in action, as I know they are one of the greatest advertising tools for each and every one of my clients.  I have a very simple work ethic:  Treat each and every client as if they are your only client, and know that a positive experience on their part repays itself many times over.

My wife Brenda and I have been married since 2001.  We love to travel, and we are often seen camping on weekends in our travel trailer, or riding our motorcycles around town.

I have a wonderful son, Jacob, who is 13 years old.  I also have a great stepson, Ian, who is 16 years old.

Ask me “How are you?” and you’ll get the same answer every time:  “Life is good!”

Get to know Jeff a little better...

  1. What superhero ability would you most want to have (breathe under water, fly overhead, super strength, etc.)?
I would love to be Hiro from the show Heroes, who has the ability to time travel.  Perhaps I could go back in time and change certain tragic events, or see exactly what happened on certain days and how they really affected present day.

  2. If you could switch places for one day with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Kenny Chesney.  I love country music, and I would love to sing in front of thousands of screaming fans to see exactly how great that would feel to be a performer.  I cannot sing or play guitar, but hey, I can dream right?

  3. What is the first concert you ever went to?
My friends and I went to see Rick Springfield at the Concord Pavilion in 1982.

  4. Do you have a secret talent?
I have sold ice cubes to Eskimos, and on certain days I can make pigs fly.

  5. Do you have a nickname?
A lot of my friends just call me "JT", and my son calls me "Baldy".

  6. What is your lifelong dream or ambition?
To travel across the United States in a 45' RV with my wife, seeing this beautiful country we call America.  Perhaps when we retire in 20 years.

  7. What was your very first job, and how long did it last?
While in high school a job counselor asked me if I wanted to earn some quick money working for his friend over a few weekends doing some "basic landscaping".  I was just 15 years old and figured it could be easy money, so I said yes.  It turned out that this person had over an acre of land that needed to be planted with a particular plant that would serve as a groundcover.  Each plant had to be prepared with a special chemical before being planted, and each plant had to be exactly 1' apart from each other.  Turns out that the "a few weekends of work" was every weekend, 8+ hours a day, for nearly 2 months.  Good money, but back-breaking!  To this day I hate landscaping!

  8. It's Friday night....go see a movie or stay home and rent a DVD?
Definitely going out with my wife Brenda to see a movie and having dinner together...always a nice way to end a stressful work week!

  9. What's your favorite reality TV show?
I have 3:  Survivor, Dancing With the Stars, and The Amazing Race....I'm very addicted to them!

  10. Pink or blue?
I love wearing my pink dress shirt, but otherwise I am a blue dude.
